I'd like to introduce you to Thomas Skewb. As I had previously announced this is a built-up version of the Skewb mod that I made prior to Dutch Cube Day 2007. Thomas edit: I renamed this puzzle from Thomas' Cube to Thomas Skewb.

I LOVE IT! Good work. Reminds me of Fisher's Golden cube...

Wow, you are really making amazing mods. As said in another thread, this really is a time of skewbs!

Looks great! I am guessing it is a buildup of the Ultimate?

That looks awesome. Fantastic Job. I'm still grasping the mechanism and pieces, but it appears to me that there are only two unique pieces to the whole puzzle is this true?

It's like the Golden Cube, but without the 1/6th slice twist. Great job Thomas!
I love it.

I love it. Does that make it harder or easier to solve?

Easier because you know you have to build it in a cube shape no matter what, and it also has colors to tell you what pieces go where and where they belong in relation to other pieces.

Thanks for all the compliments.
This is indeed made from a (truncated) Skewb Ultimate.
I understand that this mod reminds some of you of Tony Fisher's Golden Cube. They are both made from a Skewb and they are both cubes. But they are not the same. The Golden Cube is a pretty random design and all the pieces are unique. That made it possible to use one colour for the stickers.
My design is very symmetric and uses only a small number of different pieces. And although my design is also a shapeshifting puzzle, not only in its solved state will it be cubic.
Movement is excellent, better than all my other Skewbs. I guess that's because the pieces are so large. Only my Tony Fisher's Mental Block turns as smooth.
Thomas
