Yeah, I know... it's just a Pyraminx, without the tips. I really like the Pyraminx, but I've always thought the trivial tips were silly.
This is an easy build. Just glue the tips on and make new stickers. I did use some Epoxie Sculpt to fill the gaps, but I didn't spend a lot of time on that. All in all this was a rush job, so don't look at the details too much. I just wanted to build something fast, because I have become bored with the other mods that I've been working on the last few months, that are all nowhere near completion.
I was fortunate enough to find the same stickers that Uwe Mèffert uses for his puzzles. But it was too thick for my Roland Stika vinyl plotter. So I had to cut them by hand in the end. [Edit: For all the future Stika buyers, this has got to do with my particular plotter being a bit faulty. A regular Roland Stika will easily cut through this type of material.
In a few months - if I have time - I will try to build a Halpern-Meier Pyramid from a keychain Skewb. I think they will look great side by side.
