I would call it ruining a GREAT skewb puzzle.
How about the Skewb Cube?
Skewb-ecks Cube (Skewb X Cube). because of the x on the sides.

Since the Megaminx mod was partially dodecahedron -> cube, and the Skewb mod is partially cube -> dodecahedron, you could try to name it something along the lines of Dodecahedronic Skewb (or something that flows better)!

I once looked at learning one, then decided against it..
I am not too fussed, I can solve one, and that's all I care about.

Yes I cut the corners.
I do like your 6-colour version, Thomas, looks great!
