what type of megaminx did you use? Is it the china version that clicks into place, or is it a meffert.

i know this will kill the price but it is one of those knock off megaminxes. however, i did cut off the notches that helps click into place. it does turn well but is hard to get a grip of.

ON the auction page you state that it is harder to complete than a regular minx...
I don't doubt that, but there is one step in the regular that is missing, right? I mean the corners only have to be placed in there correct place, and not oriented...
I don't doubt that finding the right orientation for every center is harder than orienting the corners, but I find that pretty hard as well...*
*Ok, only last layer, but then again I haven't learned any metod and playing it by intuition I have then only been able to solve it like 4-5 times

Haara the reason why it is harder is because of the centers. they have to be oriented in the correct mannor. its like a super cube. thats what i meant by harder i should of said that in the auction.

Hmmm, is this why you were asking about the 3 edges swap algorithm?
Nice work btw, got this on my watched list

Adam, What Haara is saying is that although you need to correctly orientate the centres you do not need to orientate the corners. So although it is harder than the Megaminx in one respect it is easier in another. It is therefore not equivalent to a super cube. It is however a nice transformation.

i do agree that it is easier (corners) and as well harder (centers).
kind of wierd though that i would have to explain this in the auction, seeing that anyone who is buying it probably has an idea of how to solve it.
thanks for all of the great feedback. i hope it goes to a good home.
