I've been wanting a 4x4x4 super-cube for a while, but I don't really care for the approach that just uses stickers, so I decided to make one using an alternative method. It has 192 stickers and thus took longer to sticker than the mod itself took to build, but I think it was worth it.
There are a couple little things I would do differently if I were going to make another, but this is definitely good enough.

Clever. It reminds me of the 4x4x4 where all the centers have a whole extra cubie attached which does the same purpost but saves 2 stickers per center.
2x4x6= 48 stickers you could save.
I believe it's in one of the images in the collections thread.
Either way it's still impressive.

This looks like a very awesome cube to have. I was thinking that Jello33 or Stefan Pochmann's(who ever made it) I think would be harder because of that below.
1. You have to put the all 4 pieces in the right place
2. You have to orientate the each piece that on the face.
So in fact it is 24 less combanations if all of the same /right cubies are on the same face is on the to solve yours.
These are my $.02 cents worth

Yeah, it's the same concept in that they're both super cubes, but I really like the look of Ben's. Excellent work!

Yep - it's the same thing. I wanted one that you could see every face on (no faces un-stickered), which led me to this. I almost put the mini-cubies on every possible location, but realized that it would be hard enough to sticker with just the centers done, so I held off.
Thanks for the comps!

Now make it like a 2x2x6 with the center 4 extended sqaures being able to rotate.

Hi
Actually i do NOT think those 2 cubes are the same. If im not wrong, on the latter cube those 4 extra cubies on each face (making it a kinda 6x6x6 cube) do rotate. Whereas the ones attached to Ben's super-duper-cube simple do not move freely at all
Am i the only one who thinks this is the case

No, you're correct, Per. The "extensions" on that 4x4 do rotate.
