Hi, everyone! It's been awhile since I've made a post on here, but after a few months of being here and there, tweaking this and that, I finally can showcase my most recent build.
The polished and shiny finish on this puzzle is purely the result of good casting techniques; therefore no sanding or painting (which I don't prefer on puzzles) were done on it. Since the puzzle's surface is shiny inside out, it glides much like a mass-produced puzzle, yet has that unique handmade puzzle weight to it. I like to refer to it as a 3D printed puzzle in disguise, but with superior surface finish.
As for the name of the puzzle, I request that people refer to it as Dodecaphobic since the puzzle was designed with a slightly more shallow-cut Megaminx instead of the typical Megaminx to solve the problem of two cuts intersecting one another before reaching the edges, resulting in either a slightly nonuniform shape or an unaesthetically looking sunk-in tip.
With that said, enjoy the pictures and soon-to-come stickered version.VideoVideo (Stickered)
