hello

just received a New puzzle from Traiphum.
Rexamorphix was made from a rex cube.
Now he has made a Master Skewb Tetrahedron from a Master Skewb.
His first one was a realeaux shape (which I think he still has), but he made me the first one in a pillowed shape. I took a picture of it with my ipad, sorry if it is upside down. I don't know how to rotate it.

Try taking the picture from the other way around. It worked for me a couple of times. Also, want want want, but can't afford, as usual. :(

Wow, very nice! And yes...upside down hehe.

Beautiful puzzle though, but i wouldn't expect anything less from Traiphum.

Absolutely beautiful puzzle! Congrats!

I must say I am surprised (and disappointed) by the lack of any mass produced shape mods to the master skewb, I would really like to see some!!!

the Face Turning Octohedron is basically a shape mod of a Master Skewb.

The FTO is a Rex cube, not a master skewb, because there is no piece equivalent to the corner piece on the master skewb. If there were, it would be in the center of each face and turn with the sides. However, it would be easier to solve than the corner piece on a master skewb due to lack of orientation.

Beautiful work Traiphum!

This looks to me like it should be called a Master Jing's pyraminx. Am I correct in this thought?

Yes, I think so Kevin. The Jing's Pyraminx is a Skewb mod, so yeah. I love it.. I have the Rexamorphix, so they would make a nice pair :D .

Ah, I stand corrected. Sorry for the mistake!

Yeah, the FTO and the Master Skewb have the same base mechanism.

Cheers,
Burgo.

But without corners the solve could better parallel a Rex Cube with center orientation no?

<-- Supah jelly! Don't know when I will be able to afford custom puzzles again, but this would be on top of my wish list if I could.
