I see this new cube in hknowstore

and I am thinking ...... probably we have a supercube 3x3x3 soon ?

in this puzzle the circles turns independentely ( in the planets versions of 3x3x3 circles, only turns as 0 or 1)

what do you think?

It loos like a Crazy Planet cube with some inner circle components as super components, perhaps Calvin can clarify?

Maybe it functions like a Cross Cube?

I guess I'm forced to reveal that in my B4bandaging series I have a face like this, it's called a `5face`.

Does it say that you can turn the circles independently? Because if it does, then it would basically be a cross cube with two sides actually needing orientation. Otherwise, it is just a different type of circle puzzle. But we'll see when I get my hands on one.

Wow! A great puzzle series gets even more interesting. So many possible combinations with 0-faces and 1-faces!

There are pictures on the hknowstore site in midturn, and it certainly looks like the circles are baby faces that can be turned freely.

Calvin's 3x3x5 Super Cuboid Series.
These are enhanced 3x3x5 super cuboid series that embedded circles parts on the flat faces. All faces are free to turn, include the extended layers and circle faces. The extended pieces can move to the circle faces and make the turn. With this new change, the cubes can be transformed into many other different shapes.

I think these puzzles are my new true love. When I first saw the 3x3x5 mech I hoped for a stickerless version.. And you did one better! I must get my hands on one

Whilst I love the look of these puzzles and especially like the coloured plastic. As a puzzle this is extremely underwhelming!

It does not have any crazy cube functions (i.e. no zero or 1 faces) so effectively both the puzzles produced are just functionally cross cubes with shape shifting abilities due to the flat cubies mixing with protuberant ones.

If I am wrong then please tell me someone because I'd love an excuse to buy these!

Yes, they are something we've already seen - just with a little make up. But I believe You could bandage them into zero or one faces? Seeing as the external parts turn independent of the actual centerpiece, via an extra track, could you glue a center to the core and have a legitimate crazy puzzle?

having watched the videos, I thought the same thing. I got excited when I first saw these on the HKnowstore page earlier today, immediately assumed I would buy them. (They seem to have been removed now). However I am less likely now, having see how they actually function. I assumed they were all 0 faces when seeing the photo's.

It does make me a little cranky when manufacturers do this. I've just bought 3 stickered versions of the 335. On these puzzles, where stickers underlap it's a much better option to use coloured plastic. When the intention is there to make it, please let us know so we can make an informed decision in the first place.
