After more than 30 years making puzzles I figured it was time I created my first proper picture cube. I had always wanted one with photos of my own puzzles since I thought it would look nice and be quite tricky to solve. A kind of Super 5x5x5 cube with a few complications. I acknowledge it isn't the greatest or most original puzzle I have been involved with but like I have always said, I believe every puzzle should be made at least once plus I really like it which is all that matters at the end of the day.
I chose a 5x5x5 because I still have a few Eastsheens laying around plus there are very few picture 5x5x5s in existence.
To create it I selected some old photos plus I took some new. I then carefully edited out the backgrounds and added a solid light blue instead. This gives a nice look to the finished puzzle and confuses solving since the backgrounds do not help at all. This is where my input pretty much stopped. There is no way I can make durable picture stickers myself so I was forced to get some help. Olivér Nagy from Olivér's Stickers was more than happy to and did a great job in making them.
I will shortly add a thread in Market Place giving my normal links and more details about the selling.

Oh my, the face with the 11x11x11 must be fiendish to solve...

Is there a story behind these six images?
I assume you didn't choose them arbitrarily?

It developed from a number of different ideas and negatives.

Ideas-
1. Use the six puzzles I am most well known for.
2. Use the three I am most well known for (probably Fisher Cube, Golden Cube, Hexaminx) doubling them up on opposite faces but scrambled.
3. Use photos that especially look nice or present an interesting solving challenge, like the 11x11x11.
4. Include myself.

Negatives from above-
1. Certain puzzles just don't look right. A solved Hexaminx and Fisher Cube clash with the 5x5x5 lines of rotation for example.
2. Using just one idea meant the others had to be dismissed.
