Based on pieces of an original 24-cube I designed pieces for a real tetrahedron.

Here some pictures of the process:

I like how most puzzle designers work carefully to make there puzzle a reasonable, but you just say "Who cares if it's huge? It works."

This looks like a nice puzzle in the making. Is it difficult to accurately place stickers of that size?

Only you, Claus, would think of modifying a 24 Cube, but it is a good idea. Have you changed or upgraded your 3D printer, as those parts look particularly smooth?

That's fantastic! I love the approach. I'm loving big puzzles lately.

That's awesome!!! Was this a kit from the.drizzle? If not could you please explain what you did differently with your puzzles. The first Little Chop maker and other shapes. I like the Little chop in a tetrahedron better the a cube because it has 2 solutions not just 1. I was suppose to get one with the help of a builder but never did. I love this puzzle very much.

Andreas, I will take the measurement after finishing the tetra.

Yes, this is from a set I bought from DrDrizzle some years ago. But I made some small changes.
To print it completely in WSF is much to expensive. Therefore I made a hybrid. The feets of the 24 triangle were new designed by me and were printed by shapeways. I need the properties strong and flexible.
And I drilled some holes in the rhombs to make it easier to assemble.

Seeing pictures of the mechanism of this functional 24 cube from the drizzle makes me feel awe. Like i am looking at an old myth I had forgotten about. It's marvellous.
But your tetrahedral parts are really cool too.

You are competing with Tony about the hugest tetra, aren't you?

And I am just happy now that my 24Cube works more or less.

Cool!

Frank

Sorry Andreas for my late answer. But first I would finishthis tetra.

Yes, all the 24 mods based on the set of Matt (The.Drizzle). But I made some small changes (see above).
Here the first family picture:

Man I need this puzzle very soon in my collection . I think I heard Matt or someone else say that there some bandaging or fused pieces on the inside that you have to work around to solve but please don't quote me.

Three puzzles based on a Little Chop in one row.
I said it before: This is obscene!

If forgot to mention in the description that this one was made with magnets ...
