This is my latest puzzle. It is a 39cm (15 inch) fully functional black plastic Pyraminx. It has the exact same textured stickers that you find on a regular one ( Still available here ). I thought about making it white for obvious reasons but the original white ones had gold textured stickers which are no longer available. White plastic also marks very easily especially where the parts slide together. Plus I just don't like white plastic.
Movement is ok and I know how to make it better if I construct another. It turned out reasonably light at just over 1.5kg.
I am not revealing how I made it at this time.

Awesome! I really like how the cubies (or should I say "tetrahedrettes") are the same size as the full original Pyraminx.

Nicely done Tony, I always like your big one. Before the pictures were taken, did you stub your toe, or had you lost a fiver and found a pound

Yes, that is amazing. I am very pleased that you have decided to make it. The giant 3x3 was awesome, but this is just fantastic!!

My face was made for forums not photos. Find me a picture of me smiling on the internet where I don't look stupid and I'll give you that pound.

Well yeah, his face in the twisted picture says 'yeah, I'm Tony Fisher and I just made a big pyraminx. That's pretty cool IMHO' (and in my opinion as well. Gotta get an IPP or something out to England one of these days so I can see that in person!

NICE. What I like most about your pyraminx is that THE TIPS ARE SHARP (not filleted more than the edges I mean).
THANK YOU FOR THAT! It looks beautiful

Great job!

And it looks so perfect. Any reactions from Uwe so far?
This is really a world record.

Now I need a Void Megaminx for children to hide in it:)
(Well, the Void Tuttminx is already a first step in this direction,
works for mice and other small pets..)

Congrats, maybe you'll bring it to the IPP next year?
Would like to see it live!

Frank

Love it! Looks perfect!

I'd like to see a giant treasure cube, so I can hide my kids or cats in it...

Thanks.
I was initially heading towards a 56cm Pyraminx but I felt that was a bit large if I was ever going to take it anywhere.
A huge treasure chest would indeed be interesting especially if you were able to move it from the inside and escape from it.
I prefer sharp tips too like the originals. I assume the blunt ones are for safety reasons.
