Hi Twisty Puzzles fans,
Polo Shift, based on an idea by Alex Polonsky, was presented before at the
Twisty Puzzles Forum. Seven of the corners of a cube are shifted around the spherical core. While shifting, the corner pieces change orientation, which makes this puzzle confusing to solve.
A problem with that version was that it had an illegal move. Corner pieces could be rotated in place, which they shouldn't. As suggested by Khaled Habbab, Alex Polonsky and several others, a grooved mechanism was added to prevent illegal rotations of the shifting corners.
