Hi Twisty Puzzles fans,

Polo Glider is a design by Alex Polonsky. It combines a 1x2x2 core with moves similar to Alex Black Hole. One can also see it as a handicapped 2x2x2 cube with one piece missing, and allowing only half turns over two of its three axes. The puzzle should not be too hard to solve. One of the seven sliding cubies is attached to the core, but it slides as smoothly as the other six cubies.

Watch the YouTube video.
Buy the puzzle at my Shapeways Shop.

Check out the photos below.

Enjoy!

Wow, I love when you and Alex collaborate, you come up with the most simple and elegant puzzles. Out of all the sliding puzzles you have designed, i think this is my favorite. Unlike some of the other sliding+twisting puzzles you have made, this one is trivial when doing only one type of move. One thing i wonder though, this seems like it would have similar positions to the (U, F2, R2) 2x2 group.

Thank you for spotting that. I hadn't noticed. Oskar
