Hi,

long time no puzzle presented by me.
If anybody wonders: This is the result of a change in my building habits.

I finished the last seven entries of my series for the SharpEdges.

:?: Can anybody see the principle behind this arrangement?

All implemented variants with SharpEdges are seen here:

There are other variants but I didn't bother implementing them.

Many people don't imagine it, but these do, in fact, require some courage and skill to implement. As for the arrangement, my first guess involves a certain extension of the centers a la Greenhill's Octahedron...

Andreas, I love your sytematic completion of any open slot you have in your collection.

I think the rule for top down, is the number of cuts you have to do on the extended cube?

Starting with 4, 8 ,12, 16, 20 until 24.

But I understand the rule for the lines: left to right.

It don't think skill is the main point here. More important is patience, some old-fashioned casting and also old-fashioned modelling clay.
Thank you anyway.

Claus nailed it.
The top row has no cuts at all. Thw following rows have 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 cuts. All cuts are identical. In most variants the non-cut faces are "deleted" by placing extensions onto them.
Sadly I made a mistake. Two variants have to be exchanged between row 12 and row 16.

The concept of the cutting signature is explained here:
