The first one looks to be a truncated face-turning rhombic dodecahedron, and would solve like a helicopter cube.
The second one reminds me of the time machine, but it looks like it can act like a mixup cube...weird.
The third one...wow, that's an interesting shape. It looks like a truncated triakis icosahedron, but I'm not completely sure. It seems like it would turn around corners.
I honestly think the fourth one might be Ryan Binter's Pentaminx in a truncated octahedron shape, but I'm probably wrong.
The fifth and six are self-explanatory, but exciting! I've wanted Dayan to make a 2x2, and this might be it!

Isn't the first one just a Gem III? I've seen the forth one referred to as Gem V before. Maybe one of the 2x2x2s is a Nightmare version.

The third one looks like a non-circle version of one of the puzzles in Bo Hu's app, as seen here. The simulator has also a non-circle version of that puzzle, if I remember correctly

Wow. What is that beast on the very right in the top row? It looks like it could be this: Attachment:

I am not sure what to think about these anymore. they get more and more crazy and complex in pure form but then more and more pieces are cut away to create these cut patterns. I would totally fancy a "simple" deeper cut edge turing cube over this. On the other that's physically more difficult to achieve I suppose. Or would anyone be able to tell if a design such as this would need the same number of shells as the full edgeturing cube would anyway? Also I get the name "Dayan Gem" and why the puzzles are supposed to look the way they do.

My guess is that the puzzle turns along these cuts: a faceturning cube, whose outermost layer can turn in increments of 45 degrees

First one is not the same shape as the Gem III/IV. It has 12 non-regular hexagons for faces... it's an edge-truncated cube.
Should I add these to "the" list? I'll wait for Rox to weigh in...

I don't know why but for some reason I just ignored the possibility of having a truncated cube with face turns only. The 45 degrees turns are somehow special I find.

These all look like prototypes! Very exciting ones too - especially as I've not bought any new twisties for a while! Do we have any idea how far along the prototype to production road we are? Even a hint of when they may become available would be fantastic! Yours desperately, Kevin

Anyone have a recommendation for how to pick colors for the Gem VI? It has 30 faces...

Metallic colours such as - gold, silver, copper and patterns such as checkers, swirls and polka dots and two-colour designs such as yellow with red cross-hatch, blue with yellow dots, etc. I'm willing to pay a premium to avoid eight shades of green and five shades of blue. I am really looking forward to the new Dayan Gem series puzzles! I enjoy every one of the Gems (I got my Gem II working fine with only a little work) and it will be interesting to work with the new shapes and cuts.

For the Gem VI I would suggest a sticker pattern where the large faces get different colors preferebly like on a normal rubik's cube and the pentagonal faces are stickered with same colors on opposite faces. That will lead to a distinct color pattern. Only the Pyraminx Crystal edges and the 8 cube corners will have the same colors in pairs however only one of the corners will always fit so placement won't be an issue only recognizing will be a little deceiving.
Maybe there is even a smart way to use the the same color for a pair of pentagonal faces without getting any two same PC pieces?

I just checked my sticker concerning thought. It does work with 6+12=18 colors instead of 30.
I took the time and made a diagramm for anyone interested. The colors I used that where available in the part file by standart suck but I didn't bother making it prettier. I randomly chose colors for the pentagons on one half of the puzzle and put the same colors on the opposite faces. I then spun the puzzle arround like seen in picture 1 and moved colors around. The arrows point to where the colors come from. That leads to using 12 colors twice without getting a single edge or corner a second time.
Oh and part of my CAD work was done to figure out if the pentagons are regular or not because they looked weird in the simulator pictures. As a matter of fact they are not regular. The two sides that are adjacent to a pentagon only corner are shorter. So look closely when stickering later, regardless of the colors used. If it will ever be released.

Just a question to clarify things for myself:
Is the Wheel of wisdom a shapemod of the Gem VI without PC edges?

*GASP* I don't know how to say this. Look at the first puzzle at the top in my crazy/circle skewb video This was my first design & print. I never published it because I never took the time to finish the stickering *. (In the video I aligned the puzzle to show the stickered faces) *It was my first design, and believe-it or not, I never checked the size of the puzzle in solidworks, and it was a little smaller than I expected. And cutting small stickers is frustrating. (just to be clear, the puzzle in the video is the same as the DaYan Gem VII (the new Dayan concept)))

Yes looks the same, only that you have exposed the center pieces of the square faces. But if you have never published it, Dayan seem to have gotten the idea somwhere else, maybe another designer or they have thought of it themselve.

I wasn't implying that they stole my idea or something like that. I'm just happy/surprised that one of my puzzles will be mass produced (even though I know it was not because of me)
