The story behind this is quite embarassing.
I build it because it is the variant of the series of SharpCorners with the highest degree of symmetry.
I put it on the list of puzzles to be presented and there it waited until I finished the Curvy Triacontahedron.
Now (not later!) I recognized that I was the first one who built a 3x3x3 in shape of a Triakis octahedron, a catalan solid never built before.
