This is fantastic. It doesn't seem like something that would be possible with a 4x4x4.

This is another slot filler and implements a variant I thought of long ago but deemed impossible.

AFAIK it's made from a qj 4x4x4. How would have it been built from a 3x3x3? :\

Well I just thought the edge piece could be split like a 3x3x2 split.

Unless I’m wrong, the edges aren’t floating(think pyraminx crystal) so the core wouldn’t let them be split.

It can do by 2x2,3x3 or 4x4, if use same mechanism as "pyraminx crystal+split"
btw: this is also much look like factory made.
