Hi!

My first design of F-Skewb had some drawbacks. First, because at that time I had less experience in designing twisty puzzles, it was not very stable. Well, it would not explode in your hands, but one of the big triangular pieces might easily pop out when the puzzle was turned. For the same reason it was relatively difficult to assemble it. Second, it was way too small - just 42-43 mm edge length. Third, rounding of the face parts revealed internal parts and that wide parting line did not look nice.

So I thought that this puzzle deserved better implementation and redesigned it. The second version has standard size 57x57x57mm, is absolutely unpoppable and the faces look whole and unbroken.

I haven't updated the Shapeways model yet, but I will, if there's interest.

Great puzzle Timur! I've always loved this puzzle, and I'm so glad to see it's been improved. Well done. :)

NICE!!!! I loved the first one and I'm very happy to see it visited again. You really should also make the next higher version too.

Looks great.
27th amendment: All great twisty puzzles must be put on shapeways.
