I saw this too, but did not want to get my hopes up as it could be a typo! Fingers crossed though.

Good rind. However, without pictures we can't be sure it's real.

I don't like the "plus" in the title, that implies planets again. A crazy/circle 5x5x5 would be just fine by itself, no need for semi-bandaged planets.

If there is just one circle per face, where do you think the circle will be cut: Attachment:

seems so, but they called the black Gigaminx just "Gigaminx Magic Cube" - so maybe this is also the wrong picture... However it seams weird that mf8 did not announce the puzzle anywhere if it really is a circle 5x5.

I doubt very much that its the Circle 5x5x5 that I want. Carl

On circle D, does this not cut the centre cubie above the middle piece into three, thus making different from E which only cuts it into two pieces??

No. Even if the 2 small pieces were seperate physical parts, there would be no way to seperate them. They'd behave just as the one larger part created with the E cut. Carl

Brilliant news! Personally I like the "C" cut in Gus's diagram. Pieces not too small as for other cuts and more interesting than "B" or "D".

MF8 wrote: Our Crazy 5x5 is now in development, maybe relase at the end of 2012 or early in the 2013... Thankyou MF8!! That sounds awesome.. Please consider a full Crazy Plus Planet series in coloured plastic (as well as a black standard one with stickers for some others ). At first when I read this thread I thought it was a mistake. This could be a dream come true.. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22344Let's hope Carl's Real5x5 happens too. Can you reveal the cut please? I can't wait to know. A is the better cut for the planet series, B is the better cut for a stand-alone standard cube. Cheers, Burgo.

Cut "A" could enable 5x5x7 mods, if the center could be unblocked.

Joshua Bell wrote: Cut "A" could enable 5x5x7 mods, if the center could be unblocked. Hi Joshua, The Circle Corners would be very small on the Circle 5x5x5, you've seen how small they are on the Circle 4x4x4. Has anyone made a 4x4x6 from that yet? It's not much space to glue a cubie to easily. I looked up the MF8 site when I first saw this thread and I found this: http://shop.mf8.com.cn/goods.php?id=36A black version of their Circle 4x4x4. Can you imagine the tiny sticker, it would have to be as small as a pin head. I still wish someone would come up with a way to bandage that puzzle by the way. Cheers, Burgo.

It's not much space to glue a cubie to easily. I agree that cut A is unlikely. We actually discussed that 4x4x6 approach but the core mechanism could not be unblocked. (Then I commissioned TomZ to design one...)

I don't know how the mechanism of the circle 5x5 will be like, but the crazy 4x4 uses a 2x2 core so you cannot just unbandage circles.
