I guess everyone knew this was coming. The puzzle was made from various left over Dogic parts. The dimples on the outer tiles were filled in with Milliput. The middle triangles were also filled since I did not have any of the tiny triangular parts spare. I also slightly modified some pieces to help turning. Stickers were glued on to prevent sliding and the whole thing seems to work pretty well. Slightly better in fact than a regular Dogic. I used 20 colours though I have not set a correct colour scheme apart from saying each side should be a solid colour. You could make a better looking one from two new B+W Dogics and thicker stickers but then you'd be left with a strange assortment of black and white Dogic parts. Tony, I want it. Seriously, now. This has been the only kind of Dogic I've ever wanted. I don't just want it, I need it. Gimme.

This turned out surprisingly well, I thought that the stickers would less attractive that the tiled one, but quite the contrary; I love it!

I don't like it as much as the regular 20 color DOGIC or any DOGIC for that matter. Nice work as always though.

WOW. I always thought Dogics were kind of ugly, and had no desire to track one down, but that looks amazing. Way better than any of the real Dogics, in my opinion. Tony does it again!

I was just talking about this on the IRC, and I think it is. I believe that TomZ has designed a Megaminx Pentultimate combo. The Megaminx part can be babyfaced and modded into a Dogic, and the Pentultimate can just be made into a shapemod. That would be an awesome puzzle.
By the way Tony, I still want it.

Poor Dogic I always love the 12-color, hated the 20-color Dogics because it seems the intricacies of the inner triangle parts are wasted as orientation does not matter anymore. I am truly amazed that you have taken it from the horrible shape in the top picture to the beautiful puzzle in the bottom. It doesn't even resemble a Dogic at all now. You have breathed new life into a dying puzzle. I just hope whoever buys it will love it and play with it now and again.

It seems to me that when I first saw the Dogic for sale, I hesitated because it did not look like a "normal" twisty puzzle. What you, Tony, have done is to turn the Dogic from a slightly more abstract rendering of the Twisty Puzzle into a puzzle that looks like the others. Thus by allowing for conformity, you have done something original! Hooray!

Does this change the ease of turning at all? I'd imagine without the dimples you'd have less to grip onto. Wonderful work as always. Who's gonna be the first to print a mini?

Turning is pretty much the same except for the corners. I decided to remove the little ridges around the centres (see the close up pic) and it has definitely helped. However the downside is that it slightly takes away from the looks. For that reason I would advise against it for a regular one unless the owner is not worryied about devaluing it.

When I saw the "Would a black stickered Dogic be of intrest?" thread I knew this was coming I just didn't know that it would be so fast! Great work, as always. I always just kind of thought that Dogics were ugly, expensive, poor-turning collectors items (don't take me wrong, I love it anyway) so I have never had intrest in getting one. But if this was hypothetically mass produced (which it won't be) I would def buy it. Maybe a 3D printed mini version would be nice Somebody get on that! (Just kidding, that would be a KO, correct?)

It wouldn't be a KO, the patent expired some time ago. Theoretically any KO company could mass produce one now, although I'm not sure if it's the best idea of their side. As for the Mini 3D Printed Dogic, all I can say is wait and see...
