After a few shops telling me these were samples only, i managed to get one. From the same guy that just posted above. I don't know if you are old enough to remember the clapper, but for those of you that are, Tom managed to discover that it is sound activated. So clap and you have light. Pick it up and you have light. But oddly enough, it doesn't always light when scrambled. SmaZ had made one years ago (as I'm sure others have tried as well), that had the lights in the corners of the cube so it's not a "new concept" but a working model of an old thought. All in all it's a nice novelty to add to a collection. Turning-not so good!

This is awesome! I would just turn off the lights and solve it in the dark all the time! It would be good for practising look ahead because if you stop then you can't see it anymore. Alex

Witeden, I know this. I was trying to say the idea for a light up cube is old. This is the first one I've seen that really works. Quite an ingenious core to it. And the bug just loved it! A puzzle that lights up when you clap and make lots of noise. That's right up her alley.

This is a really cool puzzle. And only for $7! So cheap! I will buy this at some point in the near future for certain.

Will the batteries drain while the puzzle is just sitting on a shelf? That tends to happen with my light up Platypus.

That's exactly why I always rotated two of the nubs on the outside of puzzle - with the platypus in an unsolved position, the electrical connection is broken and therefore not conducting electricity. Sit it on a shelf solved, and yes, a live connection will be made. I wish he'd of turned off the lights when making the video. I can hardly tell what the LEDs are doing in that bright room. Also, how difficult is it to replace the batteries?
