Hi everybody, I've been reading this forum for some time now, looking at all the puzzles everybody else makes. I've made attempts to mod in the past, but frankly, IMO, they turned out kind of crappy. Now I present my first successful mod (I guess it's still technically considered a WIP, since half of it has screwed up stickers): the Fused void cubes! I mainly made this puzzle because my white void cube lost an internal edge piece, and I didn't want to throw it away. So on my trip to China, I got 2 black void cubes (1 to keep, 1 to fuse) and made this little puzzle. I've had the idea for about a year, but only build it a few weeks ago and revealed it now. Now I'll shut up and just let the pics speak for themselves. EDIT: video will be up tomorrow or later today. I also want to fill the internal parts. So more pictures tomorrow as well!

Very nice. I like the way that the edges fit snugly into where the centers should be on the Void Cube.

I've always wondered how this would work, and what it would look like. Great job!

The original maker made one with wider edges so the two cubes could rattle around a bit which gives it a nice feel. Your version looks nice too. Not sure which I prefer.

Oh wow. I can't believe I never thought of that. Now I have to go find that picture or wait until someone else posts it.

I believe this will produce a distinctly different parity situation from the original Void cube. While the original could get a parity error with two edges swapped, if you solve this puzzle with the wrong three faces rotated, you'd end up not with a twin piece swap, but a lone corner that appears to need twirling. Awesome concept!!!
