It looks like a Megaminx on some sides! I bet that's why you called it the MegaRD. I thought it would be face-turning, but then I saw the turning; wow.  Awesome job!

I'mpretty sure it is a megaminx. It looks to me like the picture you think is a turn is actually the look that you get when you turn three faces simultaneously one a megaminx. either way the puzzle is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to see a video.

Well, since the rhombic dodecahedron 3x3x3 you have shown is partially turned into the prism you have also shown, I would think that you could also turn this rhombic dodecahedron megaminx into a megaminx hexagonal prism. Just my thought on this.

Congratulations. It is the third megaminx with this shape but this one looks some kind of axisied... Cool!
