This is my second puzzles today and it's a mini Rubiks Cheese! (4 cm instead of the normal 7 cm)

What is fun about this puzzle, is that it was supposed to be a two layer cheese puzzle, but it turned out to be too stiff and not sandable... So it's a one layer cheese puzzle, and if you open it and remove what was suppsed to be a sliding piece (with the sticker on), it then becomes sticker modable without damageing or removing the sticker!!!

I'll soon prototype a new one, and see if it's two lyers, but if anyone is interested in buying this examplar, you can make me an offer (10$ shipping) by sending me a PM... That would be helpful in prototyping a new one

Nice! With the design, it may help it to be a bit less stiff if, instead of using T-shaped teeth, using L-shaped ones. That's significantly less surface area to catch, and making it looser would then be made easier.

Did you add tolerance to the pieces? If not, this may be the reason why it does not work.
Cool puzzle though!

I had already added 0.1mm tolerances to the pieces, so I added another 0.05mm

We'll see the results!

Neat puzzle, you might want to shoot for .2mm. That is the tolerance on all my puzzles and they work fine.

i will NEVER understand the machanism of this puzzle...

In the centre there is a 3 armed spider, around which 3 pieces can rotate. the other 3 pieces hang inbetween them with scoops, the scoop you can see in the 1st picture.

Also on the issue of tolerances, did you use 0.1 mm between both faces, or 0.1 mm on every face? adding up to 0.2mm between faces.

Bingo!!! for he mechanism and for the tolerance! 0.1mm on each face, and now 0.15 on the sliding pieces!
