The routine is known:
A bandaged 3x3x3

So the pieces that look bandaged in the first picture are the pieces you truncate?

Correct, in case of OctagonalEdges.

I bought 7kg of SmoothCast half a year ago. So I consider myself as quite fast. But that is relative.
