A while back I hinted at this puzzle (The Tin Man needed a heart, this is an Aluminum heart which is more high tech). Roxanne wanted a pink puzzle for her daughter. I was creating a 13 piece (atomic number of Aluminum) design based off of Fluorine and if it was going to be pink, I figured a heart shape was a good theme and matched the layout. So I present the Elemental:Aluminum in a Heart shape. I will probably make the standard "Elemental" style design as well, but haven't yet. Finding pink acrylic wasn't easy and I had to mail order it from across the country. But oh, what nice pink they had! It was pink pearl so it matched well with the white pearl I have used in the past. I finished it up with pearlized purple and gold ink. I hope the bug approves Front Back Scrambled a bit In the packaging With the prototype in a milky white with transparent red pieces, inked in red and gold. Enjoy, Dave

You have, once again, made a work of art more beautiful than the anciant sculptures praised in museums.

Well, yes, I realize your name was on it but I didn't know if he was adding this style to his list of Elemental puzzles and then taking orders, custom or otherwise, like he did with the rest

Hooray! Yes, you do need to update your page A bit off-topic but have you had any more new Fluorine builds? I'm still trying to figure out what kind of design I want

I'm still trying to figure out what kind of design I want I haven't etched any new images on Fluorine since making the Deluxe version for Roxanne ( here). But I am open to putting pretty much any image on any of my puzzles. To return back on topic, I have cut two more Aluminum Heart puzzles and will add pictures when they are built. When I ordered the pink pearl acrylic I also found some very pretty other materials. I will cut the last pieces for them tonight and hope to have pictures within the next week. Dave

Two more Hearts with special new acrylic I ordered when ordering the special pink. Those who might think of me as kind or caring clearly haven't seem my Heart of Stone: OK, perhaps "Hearts of Stone". The Granite and Marble acrylic look just great and I thought mixing the materials and inking in gold would be just the right touch. The Granite looks great from the side but the Marble seems only to have the marble pattern on the top and bottom as a skin. From the side there is no marble pattern so I wasted a lot of this really nice stuff on all the middle layers when I could have just used plain black. I really like the new looks, and there are more varieties of stone patterns I would like to try. Dave
