OK, first things first: Yay, I got approved! First post! Now that that's out of the way, I present my (hopefully) original supercube sticker mod: SuperDots One of the poles The equator Scrambled The sticker shapes and colors were inspired by the round stickers on some Super Floppy cubes. There are other ways to position the large circles on the faces, but this layout with the continuous equator of small circles and two poles with 3 large circles around each is my favorite. I've gotten two sets of SuperDots stickers cut by Dr. Sticker; I'll take some pictures of the actual cubes at some point. If anyone's interested here are the CubeTwister skins is used to make the renders above in black and white.

Nice! Normally I don't like circular stickers, but on this they look nice. Alex

Hmm, it looks like there's a case where you could get confused. Lets say you match up an edge piece, with a small circle, with the center. Like this: You wouldn't know if the center should be oriented like that, or like this: Still, this could be avoided if you start with the edges that are part of the large circles.

I'm going to try to come up with a way for 5x5x5, and just curious how much these stickers cost from Dr. Sticker? I'm going to be ordering a couple of sets of stickers and can't spend TOO much. PM me?
Also, I really like this set!

This is a pretty cool idea. Recognition wouldn't be super easy, but it wouldn't be all that hard either.
Would a similar idea work for 4x4 or 5x5? Maybe you could use concentric circles or something.

Thanks to everyone for the support! If anyone's interested I can post the pdf I used for my order from Dr. Sticker. @MeMyselfAndPi I solve for color first and then orient the centers as needed, so I don't worry if I have them correct from the start. Since the center will always have the curve towards the row of small circles I suppose you could orient the centers as you go, but I have no idea which algorithms preserve center orientation. @theVDude I paid a little over $14 for 1 face each in 12 colors, so enough to make 2 cubes. Or a SuperDots Megaminx... @TomZ The renders are very close to the KOs, but the real cubes aren't. I made a white bodied and a black bodied SuperDots cube, and the white is fairly close with Red, Light Blue, Light Green, Yellow, Light Grey and Dark Grey, but the other is more or less traditional colors. I'll post some actual pics once I get home tonight.

Or, instead of ordering from Dr. Sticker, you could just buy sticker paper and cut out his .png images. This would be a lot cheaper, still not as good as quality though.
