VIDEO ADDED: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZAw_JxN44AHi everyone, Over a year ago there was a topic posted by theVDude about higher order windmill cubes. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12826&hilit=higher+order+windmillAbout a week ago I contacted theVDude to see if he had built the puzzle or had intentions on doing so. When I was informed that he had no plans on making one in the near future, I asked if he would mind if I built it and there were no objections. So I present to you the Master Windmill Cube. Thank-you theVDude. The puzzle was made from a Rubik's brand 4x4. All the pieces were capped with ABS plastic sheet and the gaps between the extended pieces were filled with black Apoxie Sculpt. The stickers were machine cut using Arlon Vinyl. I have a video uploading to YouTube right now, so I will post it tomorrow. In the meantime here are some pictures. Attachment:

Absolutely awesome. If I were still collecting, I'd snag this one up in an instant. Well done my friend.

That looks great. I never really liked the normal Windmill Cube that much but I like this one. Alex

I knew I would see this turn out well if you did it! I also knew it wouldn't turn out well if I did it. I don't think it's possible to do this with an ES, either. I may still try this one day, though, now that I see how great it actually looks!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. The video is up now on YouTube if you want to take a peek. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZAw_JxN44AtheVDude wrote: Sjoerd wrote: Nice! I think it might though, but it was really close when using the rubik's brand. If I Ididn't add plastic sheet I think some of the centers would have snapped off over time. The plastic reinforced it quite nicely.
