The corner pieces consist of 2 parts (a body and a cap). The cutting line between them is just hidden behind the edge pieces. If this line had been shifted a little bit outwards, the tips could also rotate :)

Very nice design. I'm going to try to design one of these in SolidWorks this summer. I want to figure out the mech for myself.

Yes, I wish it did too, but shouldn't this be called the elite pyraminx? Because Drewseph's order is master, elite, and then royal. Nice work, nonetheless! :D

It could go either way, really, because Meffert's calls the 5x5 cube the Professor Cube, after the 4x4 which they call the Master Cube.

I thought it was fter how Rubik's made them(or is the 5x5 called Wahn's cube?).

rubik's 5x5 is called the professors. 2x2 pocket cube 3x3 rubiks cube 4x4 Rubik's Revenge and 5x5 professor's cube and lol i didn't even know for sure if mefferts made 5x5s or not so they could call it wahn's cube the professor's cube or hopefully the kapoofta cube ( i highly doubt the last one )

Meffert's also makes a puzzle that looks like a Junior Pyraminx, but it's actually a Junior Cube shape mod called the Pyramorphix.

A true Junior Pyraminx would consist of only a solid Octahedronal core with 4 trivial tips attached, 3^4=81 unique permutations. So easy, a toddler could solve it!

That would be a tetrahedral core.
Anyway, I am still debating (with myself) whether this is a professor pyraminx, or a pointy professor tetraminx.
None the less, it is a very nice puzzle, you should really make a video showing it with the pyraminx and master pyraminx so we get an idea of the size.

we get an idea of the size because he has it in his hand at one point though that would show us more
