Excellent, once again your cube is fantastic, funny and amazing ! I've already thought to do it with a 4 layers square but I didn't find the good-sized 2x2x2 to build the core.

So, it's a sq-1 + a 2x2x2? When I saw the first few pics I thought that it was just a 2x2x2 with a sq-1 shell! Awesome job, Traiphum! I'd like to see a 3x3x8 next. Oh yeah, BTW for those who might not know how to solve it, I think you solve the middle layer like a 2x2x2 first, and then solve the outer layers like a sq-1. Might be some interesting new parity, though. Also traiphum, can I assume that this is hand-made?

Yes, first solving is middle layer like 2x2. when middle layers fixed, it is a sq-1. before I built, I imagine, it uble has some parity but nothing non-parity.

would it be possible to unbandage this puzzle still more so that there were no moves blocked by the center layer? That would be one crazy puzzle.

Third freaking SQ1 mod, I love love LOVE it! The Square 1 is a clever super puzzle who many builders do not mod a lot. Glad to see several people really are creative!
Amazing good job!!!!!
