Hi everyone,

I just finished up these two guys and I thought I would introduce them to you all. Meet the Stretchex Brothers. Stretchex (3x3x3 DIY Type A) and Mini-Stretchex (Rubik's 2x2x2).

Now, I am not sure if these have been made before but I haven't seen them yet. The name comes from the fact that the original cube is stretched out (complicated, I know  ). I am not 100% set on the name for them so if you have any ideas please let me know.

The puzzles were both made by cutting the puzzle down to a Full Half Trunc (the same as poloquebec did on his 4x4) and then I built the puzzle back up again like you would an axis cube but on only the four cut sides.

Both puzzles were capped with 1mm thick ABS plastic and the Oracal Vinyl stickers were macine cut.

I should have a video up soon but I wanted to sure of the name first before starting. I hope you enjoy. Now time for me to go and try to finish my To Do List.

To Do List:

1. Finish Video for Stretchex and Mini-Stretchex
2. Finish Master Axis Cube ( I don't think it likes me leaving it on the self for so long  )
3. Start two new mods

I think a master Stretchex should be a new mod :)

These are really nice.

Nice!

For some reason they remind me of a Pyracue. I think it's because of the side patterns alternating by 180 degrees.

I like the name as is. Good work!

Thanks again everyone for the kind words. So I believe I will stick with the name Stretchex since people seem to like it. Here are the videos and a few more pics. I hope you enjoy and thanks again.
