this puzzle was designed by olz.
It was cast in alumilite black casting resin.
We have applied cubesmith smooth tiles.
The puzzle turns very very nice and cuts corners well!
The puzzle stands 76.mm tall, 57.mm edge length
(on the penta faces) and 87.5 mm across the
penta faces from edge to opposing point.

All in all i give this puzzle a 9.5 out of 10.

Video

Enjoy!

The reason Pentagonal Prisms are so cool (to me, at least), is that they provide the look of the rubik's cube cubies in one set of sides, then in the other they appear like the megaminx.

Awesome build!

thanks
and he is a genius!

also there are two of us

Clay and Eva. she does just as much work as me ...if not more.

she deserves alot of the credit.

she smoothed the masters, cast, and cut the stickers for this puzzle!

as i only made my fantastic molds :D and sanded/scraped the flash off, and
somewhat polished the puzzle.

That's a wonderful puzzle. If I correctly understand the mechanism, I guess a 5-layer version is on its way?

not quite sure yet,
but maybe.

well from what you said i think you may understand the mech very well.
i have thought of a 5-layer version
but will have to make it with smaller cubies.
because with 19.mm cubies a 5-layer would be wuite big.

I probably should know this... but this begs the question what is your website and what do you currently sell there?

One of the unique things about the pentagonal prism is that edge pieces can be flipped simply by repeated 180 degree rotations of the sides. The edge must travel the full 360 degrees around the core (5 half turns) to be unflipped. I'm not sure in what way the deep cuts complicate things, but this is pure awesome!!! :o
