(In case you're wondering why I'm posting two topics right after the other, it's to help clarify things for someone - this way I can just link to this, instead of referencing half a topic.)
Some background to this puzzle: it was inspired by the Slothouber-Graatsma puzzle
, which is a packing problem where the goal is to put six 2x2x1 blocks into a 3x3x3 box. When solved, the pieces of this cube make up the pattern of the solution to the packing problem.
I made both 4-color and 8-color variations of this puzzle, using DIY cubes from Cube4You. Also, with the pieces I had left over, I made a few more of each, which I will post in a bit. Watch the Marketplace if you'd like one!
