I recently finished (excluding fine sanding, polishing, and stickers, but that will take a while) my latest modification: an axis cube. Originally, it was meant to be a hexagonal dipyramid, but after cutting it I realized it would look amazing if I built out the cube again. After I had cut and glued all the plastic sheet on I realized that the pieces all looked oddly familiar; after assembling I realized I had just made my favorite 3x3x3 mod. Although I am slightly disappointed for not having made some fantastic new amazing never before seen puzzle, I am more than exited to have an axis cube.

It is constructed with plastic sheet and Epoxy Sculpt reinforcements/filler. Every visible surface except for the centers is made with plastic sheet. I also plan to (eventually) purchase stickers from Dr. Stickers.

As far as quality goes, I am amazed. This is much superior to my previous mods (I guess building has a steep learning curve). The pictures are very poor quality (I wish I could find my digital camera), but they will have to work. I think it looks better in real life (But then again, I am biased).

Very cool, I love seeing these types of 3x3 mods hand built. I am curious though, whats with the brown color? You say that's sheet so is it the camera doing something funny to it?

Yes, it is a combination of very poor light and an extremely bad camera.
