These are my 2 newest modifications. First, I made 2 hexagonal dipyramids, and the better one I kept, and the other I truncated into a Diamond. Both are unstickered. These are made from the promotional cubes from Shua. Videos coming soon.

EDIT: Sorry for bad picture quality.

I love how that picture keeps popping up around here!

Nice job on the mods! One suggestion to really 'finish' them off.......take them apart and round off the edges of the cut pieces (fillet 'em) before you sticker them.

I was thinking about doing that, but I like how it's all flat without the fillets, so I'm not sure if I am, but thank for the advice!

So how come nobody's ever truncated both points of a hexagonal dipyramid yet?

I did it to a 3x3, but it's sitting in the 'whatever' pile. I didn't like the way it looked.

I thought about doing that, but the diamond just looked so great. I still want to do that mod though.

They look great! I may have to buy a Cube4You cube just for the sole purpose of cutting it into a hexagonal dipyramid

Wow, I feel kinda honored to see that my own thread was illegally bumped. (I was about to bump it soon anyway with updates since I added fillets)
