Drew,

that is absolutely amazing.
You're so fast in presenting new puzzles! And - as usual - they are looking built perfectly.
At the moment you are so creative, that I am really wondering when you will find the time to make more of them to put them on bedardpuzzles.com .. I am hoping very much to find them there sooner or later.

Frank

You know I have thought about the looks of the higher order Skewb. I have made 2 decisions:
1. I like the Master Skewb with Squares (the one of Mr. Okamoto) better than the one with larger center of you.
2. Your Elite Skewb looks as good as it can. It is possible to have only squares. (gelatin brain applet nr. 323, but this Elite Skewb is just way more beautiful.

I am almost certain I remember drew posting somewhere that the Master Skewb and Praxis will go up once the DRD list is finished. I have no idea if he plans to post the Elite Skewb, Elite Tetrahedron, or Royal Tetrahedron.. But like you Frank i've got my fingers crossed :) I am going to try to get my name on the master skewb list as soon as I can so I don't end up towards the bottom like I did with the DRD. I was asleep at the wheel on that one and ended up 30th, lol.

It is not possible to have equal sized squares and remain stable using the mechanism I have. The corners will not have anything stable to hold onto the core with, and so in the master skewb I am forced to make the corners slightly larger, resulting in a slightly thinner middle layer.
Seriously guys, until you get the hint that I left Easter eggs in this post these aren't stopping!. I just took a video of my puzzles and my cat lept onto the table and started to clean himself. seriously, while I was demoing a puzzle. its too bad I fubared the turning in that video otherwise I'd have use it.

I don't know what mechanism is used in the Type D, but it has o be damn strong to keep those corners attached without snapping.

Same rules apply to the Elite Skewb. No equally sized layers. No Jaywalking either! Warning: Lions!

1. These are two beautiful and impressive puzzles. I salute you.
BUT
2. Is there a reason why we should question their legitimacy? Should we cry shenanigans?

Your "easter egg" comments among other things are concerning, unless, of course, I have completely misinterpreted them.

EDIT: I retract all comments of "shenanigan-ery". I've concluded that you were simply both exhausted and giddy. Neither of which we can fault you for

Yay! I found all 6 Easter eggs! Amazing puzzles Drew. By the way, I've never actually gone lobster fishing (caging?) but I have seen some pretty big ones. They're kind of like giant cockroaches. Well, all crustaceans are giant sea bugs, right?

They weren't that hard. I didn't find them untill I viewed the source though.

Not entirely True. When I asked Verdes (Through Pantazis) about producing the Tetrahedrons and Minxes (V-Family if you will) He remarked that he has no interest to mass produce those, and we are free to do so on our own. He knows the minxes use the modified V-cube technology, so it seems to me he just wants to deal with NxNxN cubes, which is pretty silly, since this is pretty much a worthy investment.

now just to get the money....

We need to see this from a business point of view, not from a puzzle enthusiast one.
Investing in something which has no patent is extremely risky and can cause loss.

Moreover, I had experienced myself the hardship of producing more products than planned,
it is simply not easy. The production, the marketing, and the organised efforts needed to bring a
puzzle in the market can only be guaranteed when someone focuses on less puzzles, rather than many.

Plus, it seems that 90% of the puzzle enthusiasts have some sort of cube-fetish (hi Georges!!! LOL)

;)

I'm not sure either... but I found them. Go to the first post in this thread and click on the quote button. Just read what pops up in your "Post a reply" window. No need to actually make a post. Looks like there are 9 of them and not just 6.

After I knew they were there I realized you can also just highlight the text in that first post like you are trying to copy and past it and they will show up that way as well.

No wait... its 12 (now 13) as these aren't just in the first post.

By the way... I was wrong about it being 9. Look harder.

Arg...
I can see the above Easter Egg. Maybe 14 will be harder to spot.
