I just picked this up today and thought I would share it here.
This is a Magic from 7 towns and Rubik 2008. It is produced by MegaHouse. You can see, the colors are a bit different, but what doesn't show up in the pictures is the Rubik's logo on the tiles. There is one logo engraved on one tile on each side. The engraving reads "Rubik's http://www.rubiks.com" This side has it on the bottom row, second tile from the right. It's hard to see, but by hte yellow bit of the ring.

The instruction sheet is also different: Image

One of the Joys of Picasa. I can see them just fine, but pictures can be found here. And if anyone can tell me why Picasa works some days and not others I'd be very happy.

Neither can I, but...
... if I right-click - view image - click the web address so that it is highlighted followed by [ENTER]
I can see them

I bought one of these from Torito a while back, with a few other puzzles. It's got a very nice design to it and the booklet it comes with is also very interesting (although it would be more interesting if I could read Japanese, of course).

I like the colors as they make it look more "dimensional". But it is a shame
that it doesn't give a new challenge, same solution theme for 23 years...!

;)

Wow! you manage to find it in shum shui Po!
this is a new Japanese version of the rubiks magic
you can find it in the official Japanese rubik's website: http://www.rubikcube.jp/index.html
they've also got the japan version of the 2x2, 4x4, 5x5, etc
(I've seen the packing before for these cubes and its different from the ones we see in toys'r'us)

We had a very difficult time getting these magics last year.
so, your very lucky :D
