Using TomZ's .stl files, I've made a white 3x3x4. Tiles will be put on it when they come in, so for now there's a little bubbling on some of the stickers. Thanks Tom for the designs! This puzzle will not be sold, and I do not plan on making any more. I will replace the black center pieces eventually, they were just all that I had at the time. They aren't very noticeable, though. Movement is very smooth, as seen in the video. It locks up a little bit, but not any more than a regular DIY Type A.

If you don't mind me asking... how much did the masters cost?

Amazingly, your mechanism is quite similarly of my Another Grown (3x3x5).
You can imagine easily from the snap shots, middle layers are appeared to surface, 2,3 and 1,4 layers are extended more about half of piece size. ;)

I know of a few other people who have also made something like this on their own, so it appears this is simply the best way to make a puzzle like this. This actually kind of started out as a 3x3x5, making a 3x3x4 is then simply a case of hiding one layer and shifting the others.

Your 3x3x5 is really really tiny. I can't imagine someone being able to craft such tiny pieces by hand! Simply amazing.
