so there is a 2x2 eastsheen modified by SMaZ in white or black and it comes with a spring structure like all the modified 2x2 that people use in speedsolving competitions. as far as I know its the first mass produced to the point where its not a guy making one at a time. now I don't have to ask someone to do this for me to my 2x2. they are like $18 US each w/ free shipping if you trust them for a bank transfer. not sure how reliable they are so use at your own risk.

I would say that the shop is highly trustworthy. Honest too. He doesn't gouge you on shipping.

Ok, I'm biased. He's our local puzzle guy. You won't be disapointed though. I have two of them and love the way they feel. There should be a writeup on that puzzle coming sometime soon.

Ahh!!!! I should do this in this week, I've been slacking off for way to much now

I also use the ones made by him, and I'm biased too, with the same reason as katsmom's: He's our local puzzle guy  .

its like $27 shipped. I placed a bid on ebay. a little pricey for a 2x2 but this is competition. I'm getting white cause I really like my white rubik's DIY speed cube and I want them to match.

I've just shipped a lot of puzzles out to the states this week and $7 is about right. Remember, there is packing material in that as well and the cost of boxes. A small box at the post office is $2, and bubble wrap is quite high here for some strange reason. I'm sure because he is in a shop he has to pay for it.

I don't think I paid quite $27 for mine, but then no shipping and I get the "you're a fool and spend too much money in my shop" discount as well.

I just got it in the mail and all I can say is WOW. its a perfect build and its also adjustable. so if its not to your liking than get your screwdriver but mine is PERFECT as is. I paid $27usd but I would totally pay more for this if you consider how much fun I'm having with it. I look at my 3x3 as something I have to practice but my 2x2 is something I just want to play with. cant put it down. Mr smarttoyshop or whatever your name is, you did a great job, thankyou. anyone who was thinking of modding your own 2x2, all i can say is buy this first and try it out.

it does pop if you force it. no big deal. I might go back to the standard 2x2 just to prevent pops. also one of the springs worked itself into a knot but I re-bent it into a spring and now its just like it was when I got it.
