Looks great. I don't think it has been done yet. One of the puzzles on my (too long) to do list though is this Skewb version: I believe it's called Pentagonal Trapezohedron. Thomas

Nice build! It looks very ninja-esque in the last pic. The sides look like 5-bladed shurikens. I don't know how you're going to shorten "Pentagonal Trapezohedron" into a concise puzzle name It's also known as a "Pentagonal Deltohedron". Maybe "Deltominx" or "Deltonova" ?

Although already in use (confusingly, for a Dodecahedron) by the new Japanese version of the Skewb Ultimate I think "Decaminx" isn't such a bad name for this puzzle.

Thanks for alle the comments. I think I would pick Decaminx, supplied there won't be any right infringement. Otherwise simply "Pentagonal Trapezohedron" @sharpyman69: I assume you don't use a chinese Megaminx but one with not so sharp edges. In that case: Go ahead with your project and then name it "Obelinx" @Thomas: To bad for you that right now I don't have a spare UltimateSkewb. Now it is up to you. And who wants to make this with a Pyraminx Chrystal? KPG-john wrote: WoooooW !!!!! A mod with passion?(I mean you dedicated much time on mod) Thanks. But I don't understand the question.

Perhaps by analogy with spheroid we could call it a Minxoid. Unfortunately I believe "Skewboid" is already taken. Or you could use the fun name for this type of shape, ' trapezohedron', and call it a Trapezominx

weird...i had a dream about one of those like a month ago, it made me think...and i wanted to build one like that, and name it the,"Pentagonal Dipyrimid."
then i had the idea of not just extending two opposing sides, but all 12 sides! i thaught of the name the,"Mega Star." and the same thing applys to the gigaminx,"Giga Star," and so forth.

wouldn't extending it in this manner on all sides simply make a larger megaminx?

@Arcrobe: Seems like a lot of people have thought about building this. Why havn't they finished their ideas? Marco wrote: I think doing so it would have the same shape as the Polaris puzzle, only being much larger. I think you are right. The shape's name is "stellated dodecahedron".
