I’ve solved 2 puzzles recently.
The first one is that I can post a mod with pictures in line.
thanks for the help. :)
The second is as below.
The first two pictures look like a “Rose bud” in different view angle.
The last two pictures show this mod scrambled.
What’s the original geometric shape when it’s solved?

Congratulations on your Hexagonal Prism!

This is one I have wanted to see built for a very long time, and it is nice to see one built with an excellent attention to detail.
Nice work!

I'm also coming up blank. You should just put them on Imageshack or upload them with the forums' upload thing.

Yes, You’re right.
I decide to make this mod about two month ago, but there are too many problems, like math facts data, mod method, procedore,……
Your last thread http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10361 would be the enough pressure to push me solve all the problems, so thanks a lot. :)

This is my favorite design for a hexagonal prism so far. It's more mathematically simple than the others, which makes it pleasing to the eye.

Incredible build, it's very clean and it looks great in white to boot!

Yes, all(two kind) edge pieces can be done only by “cut & paste”

Extremely good work - I never saw a puzzle like this with these exact shapes.

My congratulations to this work, it makes me curious for the future :)

The radiation Cube is based on a Skewb, so a completely different mechanism.

I don't think it's based on a Skewb.

Have a look at the pieces - they correspond to a regular 3x3x3.

Yes, Both radiation Cube and Hexagonal prism are made from a 3x3x3, but use a different way to handle the “Difficult Corner pcs”.

Very similar, but subtly different to the Radiation cube!

About the radiation cube;
Frank Tiex wrote:

Yes, actually it is a 3x3, not a skewb, although I can see where Frank is coming from, and I have done rather alot of Skewb mods!

Isn't the Rose bud Puzzlemaster42's Hex Prism

viewtopic.php?p=114150#p114150

Just with half turns?

It looks very similar to the rose-bud shape of the radiation cube when "half turned".

Nice puzzle and very neat execution!

Rose bud is exactly the same as Puzzlemaster42's Hex Prism,
So I had said that his graphic give enough pressure for me to complete this mod.
And although I had made one, I still have no easy solution to build 6 Corners.
So if any one are interesting on this mod, he must find a better way to make corners or Puzzlemaster42’s 3D print approach maybe a good solution for now.
I think you are really smart, I take that you choose to truncate deeper and do 3 more cut to get your Radiation cube.
Nice work!! :)

Thanks for the kind comments!

KPG-john wrote:

Yes, it is truncated about as deep as it can be. All of the other pieces are cut/ built up using sliced up DIY cubies, then filled, sanded and cast. I don't tend to use much plastic card as I cannot replicate very quickly.

I must admit your design did not occur to me. It is much easier to sticker than mine as it has no really tiny pieces. It perhaps looks slightly more pleasing in hex-prism solved state.

The idea for mine came from a similar idea done to a skewb.

I like the white plastic variation too!
