I made my own I got the silver cube from C4Y I think (also bought a gold one, but haven't stickered it yet) and designed the stickers and had them printed and cut at a local shop

Yes, as I said, I designed the pictures (in photoshop, sized and added bg to images I found on google) and then had them printed and cut at a local shop

Well, I found a shop here that has a $25 minimum for printed vinyl. So I made up 3 different sets of vinyl designs and had them print them all (one set each) in one run, which met the $25 minimum. I'm sure if I were to look around a little more I could get them a little cheaper. <---bargain shopper

All in all I think it was a sweet deal considering it's my own custom sticker layout....one of a kind

Has anyone here used the custom sticker sheets from Rubiks.com? I was planning on getting some to make my own custom picture cubes, but I'm not sure if they're good quality.

Great sticker design - it looks very impressive.

I have. They're ok. But there's two problems with them.

1) they're like PET stickers. You print the design, then put a thin transparent sticker over the top of them, then they go on the cube. The problem is, they tend to peel after a short while, so they're really good for printing, and sitting on a shelf, or giving to someone as a gift that you know will sit on their desk or something.

2) The word "Rubik's" is stamped on the top corner of every set of 9 stickers, so it will appear on every face. That is, unless you have the patience to rotate the pic, and waste another set of stickers so it prints on a non-"Rubik's"-stamped sticker.

I would much rather see them in vinyl.. I may try that.

Thanks for the info Flambore. The ones I wanted to make I was planning on keeping sitting on a shelf anyway, maybe solving them one every few months or something.

BTW, sorry, I didn't mean to threadjack. I think the Mario cube looks great. I love the silver cube. I really gotta try having PVC stickers custom made, that looks sweet.
