Great choice for a mass product! This is a nice and easy puzzle!
You should concider making Tutt's Icosahedron next
That or a flat master pyraminx
Tutt's Icosaminx? That would be excellent!

I support this idear  . I would really like to see a vertex turning icosahedron mass produced  .

That has already happened and it is called a dogic, but Tutt's Icosahedron would be nice, too. But, if anything should be mass-produced next, it should be the elite Skewb. That way I don't have to save up $200 to get one.

I know there 's the dogic. But finding a dogic is rare, and it's quite a expensive puzzle, plus the turning is not really good. And I don't know if it's possible to mass produced the elite skewb (well sure it's "possible"), but I doubt there's a possibility. But you never know.

This starts beeing awefully Off Topic, but the Elite Skewb is not more complex then a 7x7x7 mechanism but it has much less parts.
I don't think it is a very unsuitable puzzle for mass production.

This Lattice Cube is probalby more delicate and precision demanding to work well then an Elite Skewb.
But know this, I do not.

I'm certain some of us prefer black plastic more. Do you have any of those prototypes functioning yet?

As someone who's been playing with a lot of vertex turners lately I'm really excited about this design. It's really attractive and a classic vertex style.

Once more the request to Calvin: please leave it to us which color scheme to use, it will save a lot of requests for stickers to resticker it..

Nice puzzle!!

I am going to buy one at the end of the week as a New Year's present for myself, because it won't get here by Christmas otherwise.

$38??? Same price as a starminx and bauhinia and bermuda minx and hexaminx???

I'm guessing that must be a mis-print...

Like rline said, there is a lot of puzzles that are bigger and a lot more complex and harder than the latice cube for the same price, dissapointed, I won't buy it

On the price... yes $38 is a lot of money, but consider that this is a new puzzle made under Calvin's Puzzles brand. It is the same price as Calvin's Hexaminx. The Lattice Cube is probably a complex mechanism, not a simple 6-axis core. I think the comparison with MF8 and Dayan puzzle prices is a bit unfair. These are well established companies that can reuse work from previous puzzles, and benefit from volume and efficient distribution. 8-)

Thanks for the rational response Pete! I still think it's overpriced, but you've at least given me some things to ponder.

The Lattice cubes have spherical ball-core mechanism which make the turning smooth as Pillow Dino cube, but much more complex as adding the vertex pieces turning. Due to the cube complexity, it cost much more on molds and more time needed to assembly ones. Certainly, more challenge and enjoyment. Cheers. ^^

Calvin, why do you seem to be the only person to sell blue puzzles? They're very interesting looking.

How much would it cost for a DIY version?

Black DIY. There are also blue and white DIY being offered. It says "limited quantity", so I advise ordering ASAP.

I mean, assemble it yourself not just the stickers. Would it lower the cost a little bit?

Does anyone know if the DIY kit comes with enough stickers to do the 4 color pattern?

It appears that the stickers come with two faces' worth for each color, and all you need is 1.5 faces of each color, so you're probably set if each color comes with enough stickers to sticker two faces with that color.
