As I was trying to find a way to mod a 6x6x6 into a 4x5x6, I came up with the idea of gluing the center pieces of one direction together. I thought that the produced puzzle would be a 4x5x6 cuboid. But as I was making it , I found out that the produced puzzle was rather unique. The interesting thing about it, is that it can shape shift in every direction but not all layers are allowed to do so because of the glued center pieces. Of course this idea can be generalized in order to produce other dimensions of cuboids as shown in the picture below:

After a "controlled" scramble I did (don't want to scramble it yet
) I found that the puzzle turns into a 3x3x3 and not into a 4x4x4, which I think is very interesting.
Anyway here are some pictures of the puzzle and also you can view video of it here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRc-uQQ7SmU

All the searches I did across the internet didn't return a puzzle like that, but of course I could be wrong. So if someone has already made this kind of puzzle, I apologize in advance. Also I would like your recommendations for the name of the puzzle.
