The Dino Skewb from TomZ and the Lattice Cube are very much different puzzles.
A good solving strategy for the Dino Skewb
is reducing it to a Dino
Cube. (pair two corners - tips with two stickers- and two centres). I think this is much simpler than reducing it to a Skewb.
The Dino Skweb allows Skewb turns (deep cut turns) and Dino turns. If you do Skewb turns only the corner triplet would stay together.
The Lattice Cube was designed by Okamoto and we all hope to get one from Calvin soon. It is described as a Master Dino.
