I had the chance to get a copy of this 2003 huge book of 570+ pages (in French) about the cube - nearly all aspects of the cube - from history to collecting to solutions....

Here are some pictures taken randomly

Seems very interesting and exhaustive. It's a shame that it is set in Comic Sans; one of the worse typefaces of all time.

I have several questions, Georges...

Was this book self-published? I can't find a publisher by the name of "Éditions Paco Chales" and there is an acute accent missing in their logo, which is peculiar. Also, there are several small typos all over (I see several misplaced apostrophes, misalignments and double spaces).

Is this related to the tome entitled "Le cube du grand Paco ou cubologie appliquée"?

Francisco Montes Y Esturillo is a Spanish name, but there are several references to the country of France. Do you know anything about the author?

Thank you,

Skarabajo.

You're completely correct. Comic Sans just throws all kerning out the window.

Very interesting Georges. May I politely suggest that you edit your post and replace the photos with the code below. It will look almost identical but will load much quicker. People can then click on any photo to see the full size image.

The book was self-published by its author who is a Spaniard living in France.
"Le cube du grand Paco ou cubologie appliquée" is another title of the same book.

But you have it in your library (http://cube.helm.lu/myweb/cubbib.htm), it's a 400 page book from 2003, might be 4 volumes. I guess it would be difficult to remember all your 700+ books. I was wondering if both books have any similarities.

Skarabajo.

EDIT: I just saw your edit, so I guess, you now have that book twice! But they might be different editions (400 pages vs 570 pages).
