I've been wondering about a puzzle called the Gerdig UFO:
http://www.twistypuzzles.com/cgi-bin/pu ... i?pkey=890

The thing that puzzles me (pun INTENDED) is that I used to have one of these when I was like 3. And now I have no idea where it went. It was at my grandparents' house but they have since moved and I don't know what has happened to it - they know nothing about what I am talking about

Does anybody know how rare this puzzle is, or where I could possible obtain one?

They are not common, but not overly rare either. They pop up on eBay now and again, and if you wanted I would bet you could find a forum member with an extra. I saw a few for sale at IPP.

Hi,

This puzzle is still available in Slovakia. For instance, see http://www.martinus.sk/?uItem=50883. The website is in Slovak, but their contact page has an English section that explains that they accept orders by email (in English). The price is €9.99 which is much less than some of the ones I've seen on eBay...

Anybody wondering how this puzzle works, see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqgOHO2Aw4Y

Hey, maybe we can do a wholesale order like the one in 2005. I'm not offering to organize it, just throwing an idea...

Skarabajo.

I think I may have an extra one available in the US.
