I am thinking about buying a megaminx but i do not a good one to buy any great ones to buy

Honestly the QJ Megaminxes are going to get you the best quality for your price. You can get them stickered or tiled, but I think they're more common (and possibly cheaper) tiled. A QJ one should always be <$10, and a Mefferts one is $19.90 with free shipping so it isn't THAT much of a difference to go Mefferts unlike with most of their puzzles. You aren't going to find a "bad" megaminx nowadays, but you're going to find different prices.

All your best options are probably here, since they usually are a bit cheaper and have the advantage of shipping from the US.

The MF8 megaminx is a few dollars cheaper than the QJ ones, but bear in mind that you'll be paying shipping costs so the total value would be higher than QJ or Mefferts megaminxes unless you're doing a large order. If you want the best possible Megaminx, search for Hungarian Supernovas.

I have had a MF8 for a while, it was supposed to be a v2 but I am suspicious that it is a v1 (anyone know?). It pops too easily. I was going to try one of MF8s new Ice Megaminx, any opinions about that cube? I will put a pic of mine so you can see the pieces. I hope this isn't a bump, I think the question is the same: I'm after a good Megaminx.

I think that this page shows images of both versions of the mf8 megaminx. If that is so, then it looks like the one in your picture is a v1.

That is perfectly clear, I have the V1, I always suspected it, I won't mention the store but I will say I am surprised because they are well respected (and anyone can make a mistake). I still like the cube, it is my only `glow in the dark` even though it was supposed to be black- ha ha (they got everything wrong). I will have to get a V2, the clear ones look good, and the plastic on the clear ones (on other cubes I own) seems smoother (slicker/faster) somehow.

I have seen a `Vcube mechanism` Megaminx on shapeways, but you have to get the bits and mould your own.. not for everybody. I bet there would be a few people with their wallets out (me included) if this was a mass produced possibility??
