At a recent local puzzle party in The Netherlands I found a new 12 piece snake-like puzzle.
The shape looks a bit like an icosahedron but slightly truncated between the corners. Because of the 12 pieces, it can also be regarded to be a dodecahedron with added, pointed tips.

The puzzle is invented by Alexander Polonsky (copyright 2009), made in China and distributed via Recent Toys (http://www.recenttoys.com).

The puzzle is well made and it is nice to see a non-cubic snake puzzle.

There is much more to the story than you may think, and I also had a tiny mini part. LOL

I was extremely fortunate that Alex showed to me his prototype at the 2009 Nuremberg
Toy Fair (it originally was completely gray colored, and it used kite-like lines!) and asked
me for my opinion. Before he used a different theme and I suggested he made it more
colorful, and then he transformed his "PuzzleBall" (as he liked to call it) into something different.
I was thrilled to see it mass produced! He thanked me, even though I did not really do anything.
But it just tells you how nice guy he is!

Since then, we share more ideas, and he has some other nice puzzles waiting to come out too!

As i remember i thanked you due to the fact that you gave me the "push" do it in different way, and
therefore i come up with new idea/concept which looks completely different, (Another puzzle, not this one) - There is
nothing to do with my niceness

For this puzzle (MindJewel from recentToys) the current design and the "colors matter" come from Recenttoys company.
