could someone tell me if this is a good deal? it seems so to me, but what do i know?

i know this isnt exactly rare but... how rare is this? haha

Unfortunately you don't see the cube from all sides on the picture.
If it looks worse on the back than on the front, the price is somewhat high.
Anyway, it is a good start to begin.
As far as I know it is the 3rd or 4th ITC production, anyhow it is the final US production for the early 80's.

Insofar as rarity goes, sorry to disappoint you.
If it had the logo on the yellow centre or if the cube itself were shrink-wrapped a second time within the box or if the cube had no logo at all in the sealed box, it could be named as rare.
